Experience
I studied abroad in Urbino, Italy from 2006-2007 and moved there permanently from 2008 - 2015. I was a private English teacher to Italian students of all ages and levels and also taught in various elementary, middle and high schools as a guest teacher for state funded projects. I was a freelance translator for Google as well as for prominent businesses in the area where I lived and for professionals in the art and business world. My knowledge of Italian goes beyond just the grammar, because languages are my true passion and I never stop trying to learn more and absorb all I can about the culture, the people and the subtleties that arise when you become fluent in a language. I believe that anyone can learn a language fluently if they are enthusiastic about it and this is what I always try to transmit to my students!

Hobbies
I am an avid reader and am always trying to teach myself something new. I love nature and going for hikes as well as running and am currently preparing for a half marathon. I love to cook and food is a huge passion of mine since I also happen to be a Nutrition Coach as a side job. I connect really well with high school students because I feel I can relate to their happiness and their struggles and feel that I can be a positive influence to them in many ways with my optimism and sense of character.
